Who We Are

Ronald Johnson has been a practicing attorney for 25 years. He has specialized in domestic relations for 20 years. He is a qualified and experienced litigator who cares about the results he gets for you and your family.

Ron graduated from Lewis & Clark College with a Bachelor of Arts in 1984. His undergraduate studies included two overseas studies: Italy in 1978 through Lewis & Clark College and Germany in 1982-1983 through Oregon State University. He achieved fluency in both German and Italian.

Ron’s extensive domestic relations practice has encompassed a broad variety of business dissolutions in over 25 tears of family practice. He gained experience in dealing with the lifestyles and occupations unique to central Oregon. Ron has the same depth of experience in custody, child support and parenting time issues. He recently gave a presentation on spousal support and child support in “Million Dollar Divorces” a continuing legal education for “The Seminar Group.”

Ron has been named as a “Super Lawyer” for five years and named in the 2012 “Top Attorneys of Oregon.” In 2005-2006 Ron was President of the internationally recognized organization of litigation attorneys “J.R. Campbell American Inns of Court,” Secretary in 2004-2005, and Vice-President/Treasurer in 2003-2004. Ron is a member of the Deschutes County Bar Association and a member of Central Oregon Matrimonial Association (COMA). He served as Board Member for the Crook County Historical Society from 2006-2012. During this period the Board oversaw a major expansion of the Bowman Museum in Prineville, Oregon.

Ron has lived in Central Oregon since 1999. He previously lived and practiced law in the Portland metropolitan area. He is a widower of a wife of 25 years and stays busy pursuing happiness through increasing knowledge and the reward of guiding deserving people through life changing events in their lives.

Jordan Petzoldt is a single mother of two who met Ron during her own custody dispute.

Originally from Tucson, AZ, Jordan graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature. She taught English as a Second Language before becoming a mother of two boys. During her own legal dispute, she befriended Ron, who became much more than just her lawyer, but a mentor and a guide. Today, Ron and Jordan work together to do what’s best for their clients’ families.
